Introducing Carlton's Platform for Infrastruture -Roads

INFRASTRUCTURE - ROADS

Could you inform Carlton about the infrastructure projects that you believe are necessary for District 15? Carlton believes that Goose Creek requires an overpass at the intersection of HWY 52, Red Bank, and St. James, similar to the one that Mount Pleasant has on HWY 17 near McDonald's. This particular intersection in District 15 is quite hazardous and leads to significant traffic delays during rush hour.

Residents of Deer Park and Midland Park have been requesting sound barriers along I-26 for years to ensure peace of mind. The state is currently constructing such barriers along I-26 and I-77 in the Upstate, and it's high time that District 15 gets this long overdue project completed.

To gain a deeper understanding of the proposals for District 15, consider watching Carlton's videos.

For Goose Creek we will have one of these prepared for doing the overpass intersection of Red Bank Road and Hwy 52 where Red Bank Road turns into St. James. Goose Creek needs this dangerous intersection redesigned.

Carlton looks forward to working with North Charleston Mayor Reggie Burgess in helping to make the Sound Barriers happen for North Charleston.

Carlton enjoyed walking in the 2024 MLK Parade with Reggie and others. This was the first Parade since the 1990's and Carlton is forever grateful for being asked to walk in the MLK Parade. Thnak you!

Carlton and Goose Creek Mayor Greg Habib. Carlton has spoken with Mayor Greg and currently the bi-pass for St. James, Red Bank Road, and HWY 52 is stalled. Carlton believes he can bring it back to life and get it finished. Everyone losses 15 minutes of their lives at that major intersection.
