The Bill to Make No Concealable Weapons Signs Safer

As your SC House State Representative of District 15, Carlton plans to submit a bill on his first day in office. The bill proposes adding a green exception to the No Concealable Weapons Signs, allowing Concealed Weapons Permitted Holders to carry their weapons even when these signs are present. This change will also inform people that law enforcement and CWP holders are carrying concealed weapons.

Carlton prefers a scenario where there are no signs. This would be an improvement from the current situation and would allow individuals who have passed FBI and South Carolina Law Enforcement background checks, as well as those who have completed SLED-approved firearm training and hold SLED-approved ID cards, to carry their concealed weapons in areas where there are No Concealable Weapons signs.
