The Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Legislative Reception 2024

NEW 2024 North Charleston Mayor Reggie Burgess. Reggie agreed with Carlton it is time for Sound Barriers on I-26 for North Charleston. He said if Dorchester Road can have them in Dorchester County, it is time for North Charleston on I-26. 

The Top Military Brass in Charleston over the Airforce base and Navy base in Charleston. Carlton loves these guys. It was fun talking military!

Oct. 2, 2023 Meeting

Carlton wanted to see this meeting. We need the most qualified to educate our children. Educators should not be chosen based on race but on the content of their character. They must have a proven record of elevating the students. The law cited in this meeting, from 1740, was enacted long before America existed and the Constitution was ratified. South Carolina was still British then. Likewise, the 1835 law predates the American Civil War, the 13th Amendment freeing the slaves.

 The 14th Amendment explicitly extending Equal Protection to all, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964, making discrimination illegal. We are living in 2023, not 1740. Carlton’s grandfather taught him that, while one shouldn’t forget, you must forgive to move forward and not get stuck in the past. We are a Nation striving for a more Perfect Union. Carlton is 100% against any discrimination.

Police need to be patrolling to bring crime down not 10 police cars unlocking cars. 

Carlton stands up for Disabled Veteran's Job in 2011

Disabled Veteran says please don't take his business when Locksmiths will unlock cars for children and animals for FREE. Put them on a rotation so they can work more and make money just like we treat tow truck drivers on a rotation in the City of North Charleston.

Carlton tried but was not successful. Don't give up!

Maybe for 2023 with a New Mayor of North Charleston we can finally put the Locksmiths on Rotation to help them make money instead of taking away their livelihoods.
