Meet Carlton Walker, your advocate for enforcing the 6th and 7th Amendments in our Family and Probate Courts. Carlton is asking for your Vote so he can help make your life better in the future for District 15!
Carlton attended Kindergarten with Mrs. Clarey at Deer Park Baptist Church and continued attending church there until 1977.
Carlton participated in Pee Wee baseball from the ages of 4 to 7. He attended 1st grade during the 1976-1977 school year. Unfortunately, during this time, Carlton's father Lance Carlton Cross 1 left his life due to PTSD from his time serving in Vietnam. Carlton struggled in school and failed 1st grade because he often daydreamed and missed his father. This experience has inspired Carlton to want to help children and parents so that children can have the opportunity to have both parents in their lives. In 1975, Carlton went door-to-door to raise money for his Pee Wee team and was able to win a professional baseball glove that was the same size as him at the time. Together with his team, they were able to use the funds to purchase new uniforms and equipment. Carlton believes that the value of hard work and helping others should be instilled in today's youth.
After the passing of his grandfather Wallace Cross in 2007, Carlton's grandmother offered him the trailer park. However, he advised her to sell it to him instead of giving it to him to avoid upsetting other heirs. In 2007, at the peak of the real estate market, she sold it to him for $900,000, with a balloon note due in three years and a monthly payment of $4,500. Carlton invested $80,000 yearly in improving the water system, roads, and protecting the residents from hurricanes, just as he had always done with his grandfather Wallace Cross.
In 2006, a new tree law was passed by the City which mandated residents to seek permission before cutting trees. Unfortunately, Carlton was not aware of this new law. The trailer park was established long before the city was founded in 1972. During the first few years of this new law, Carlton received 16 tickets initially, followed by 4 more. He received these tickets after trimming trees to protect the trailer park residents from an approaching hurricane. His attorney spoke with the city prosecutor and requested to hold all the tickets until they could come to an agreement. However, the prosecutor let the 4 tickets go to the Judge's Bench without pulling them, resulting in a warrant for Carlton's arrest. Additionally, the city charged Carlton with other charges at the same time. They tried to convince Carlton to plead guilty to a simple assault charge and avoid paying the $20,000 fine for the tree and grass tickets. However, if he chooses not to pay, he may face 30 days in jail for each ticket or pay $20,000 and request a Jury. Carlton refused the plea deal.
A family friend helped Carlton out by loaning him money to pay the fines. He also requested a Jury Trial to fight the false charges against him. Carlton knew that if he didn't have a jury, the City Judge would have found him guilty. The police from the City of North Charleston had fabricated a story and concealed information from the judge to obtain a warrant for Carlton's arrest. During the Jury trial, the jurors were able to see through the lies of the City of North Charleston Police Department and found Carlton innocent. Carlton is certain that without a fair Jury, the nepotism involving the Judge, Police Department, and Code Enforcement would have resulted in his imprisonment. Carlton is committed to fighting for his community and the residents of South Carolina, especially children, the elderly, and families. He believes implementing jury trials in the Probate and Family Court System will make it fairer and give people more power to shape their future. Carlton will continue to advocate for a better court system that benefits everyone.
Carlton recognizes the importance of the Constitutional Right to a Jury in both the 6th and 7th Amendments. He is aware that individuals without the financial means to fight the current justice system often plead guilty to crimes they did not commit or risk serving years in jail, as he experienced firsthand. Carlton is fully committed to aiding those seeking to reform the flawed justice system.
In 2021, Carlton sought assistance from the current District 15 Representative, JA Moore, regarding the Justice System but did not receive a response. Despite this, JA Moore claims that voting for him will result in more justice. This claim is false because if JA Moore had fulfilled his promise of promoting justice, Carlton would not be running. Carlton believes that the current Representative values his political relationship with a Judge over helping his constituents in District 15. This is evident as the Representative is friends with the Judge on Facebook. Carlton will never prioritize a political relationship over helping a member who lives in District 15.
Carlton received assistance from Representative Mark Smith, who does not reside in District 15. Those in District 99 are fortunate to have such a remarkable representative. Carlton is willing to lend an ear to anyone in South Carolina facing issues with the government just as Mark Smith did. You are guaranteed like "CUTCO" that if you vote for Carlton, he will never prioritize political relationships over serving you. You can count on that promise by VOTING FOR CARLTON WALKER in 2024! He puts Principles First over Political Relationships!
The above story highlights the crucial need for our elected officials to understand, investigate, and contemplate the impact of laws they pass, as they can harm people's lives. This was evident in the case of Carlton, who lost his family business, which was established in 1946 and taken away in 2010. The dedicated efforts of Carlton's grandfather, who worked tirelessly after his regular job as a machinist, were all in vain when the business was lost.
If you closely compare Carlton Walker to the other candidates, he firmly believes he is the best choice for your vote in 2024. He has firsthand experience with the current laws that need to be changed to improve the lives of South Carolinians. Carlton shares these stories not for sympathy, but because he believes that those who can take on burdens have a responsibility to make the lives of others better in the future. Although these burdens may seem heavy, they pale in comparison to the burden God carried on the Cross. Therefore, it is essential to trust and never stop helping others, no matter what.
Carlton is Hopeful for a Positive Future for ALL in DISTRICT 15 as YOUR REPRESENTATIVE STARTING IN NOVEMBER 2024!

Carlton was born on April 7, 1970, and came home from the hospital to District 15 at 8811 Deerwood Drive.
At the age of 4, in 1974, he played Pee Wee baseball at A. C. Corcoran Elementary School baseball field. To raise funds for the team's new uniforms and equipment, there was a contest to sell Chick-fil-A tickets. Carlton persuaded his grandmother, Mrs. Cross, to accompany him door-to-door every day so they could get new uniforms. Thanks to his efforts, he sold the most tickets in the contest and
In 1983, Carlton won 1st place in a model contest for building a model of his grandfather's 1954 racecar. The model depicted the car's last race at Summerville Motor Speedway where it flipped in the 1960s.
Here is the model.
Here is a picture of his grandfather's flipped racecar with the sponsor "DEER PARK TRAILER COURT" visible if you zoom in. Deer Park is a part of Carlton's Heart. On researching Carlton, you will discover he is the best representative for District 15. He hopes you will vote for him, leading him to a landslide victory!
This 1965 Mercury Comet racecar owned by Carlton's grandfather Wallace Cross and driven by Gene Johnson became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In the year Carlton was born, 1970, the car won 17 out of 34 races in South Carolina. During this time, Carlton's father was serving in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot.

Despite battling cancer since 2020, he still plays live taps to honor a fallen African American soldier in 2023.
If you watch the entire video, you'll witness the incredible life story of a man who served in the Army and later owned shrimp boats. This is a real-life story that resembles the movie, Forrest Gump. It's a remarkable commitment to see how Carlton's dad managed to do this while also battling cancer, a fact that nobody knew about. Check it out!
In 1977, Carlton's mother remarried, and he was subsequently adopted, changing his name from Lance Carlton Cross II to Lee Carlton Walker. He moved to James Island and was raised in an upper-middle-class household by his adoptive father, J.J. Walker, a Citadel graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1968. J.J. Walker also served in the National Guard during the 1960s and 1970s and was in the same South Carolina unit as Carlton's great-grandfather during World War I.
Carlton spent his childhood on James Island, specifically in Clearview. He was a member of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts during his youth. Carlton's family has been members of the James Island Yacht Club since 1974. As a child, he attended summer sailing camp and enjoyed playing in the pluff mud near Fort Sumter, just over a mile from his neighborhood, Clearview.
Jay Walker has instilled the integrity of service to his fellow men and women. Jay Walker played the bugle on national TV when they raised the Hundley, the first submarine to sink a ship during the U.S. Civil War. Carlton's dad has even played with Buglers of America for years, playing live taps for FREE for our fallen soldiers, airmen, and sailors. He currently has terminal cancer, which has not stopped Carlton's dad, J.J. Walker, from continuing to Honor our Fallen who have given so much to defend this Country and the U.S. Constitution.
Voting for Carlton as your representative in the forthcoming June 11, 2024 primary and November 5, 2024 elections is essential. Carlton pledges to enforce and implement the 6th and 7th Amendments in our Family and Probate Courts, ending nepotism and unjust verdicts our citizens cannot afford. This will ensure that those who have sacrificed for our Country have their constitutional rights upheld. Suppose you or a family member has served in the military. In that case, you understand the significance of having an advocate like Carlton Walker in the South Carolina House of Representatives for District 15 for you.
During high school, Carlton attended Camden Military Academy where he gained a strong sense of attention to detail. He excelled in various activities such as being a multiple-time Best Cadet awardee, a member of the High School Rifle Team, the Soccer Team and the Wrestling Team. Carlton also took on a huge responsibility of driving the school bus during his senior year which involved ensuring the safety of the students. Additionally, he participated in track events such as 2 mile, 1 mile, and 800, and has learned the value of perseverance in achieving goals. Carlton's excellent performance in the Camden Military Cross Country Team earned him the title of Most Valuable Player during his senior year. He graduated from the academy in 1990.
In February of 1991 when Dessert Storm was about to happen, Carlton found it to be his calling and joined the service on February 28, 1991 to serve his Country like his forefathers. Carlton's great-grandfather John McLaren Hucks served in WW1 in the U.S. Army fighting the Germans in the trenches in France and was gassed and shot. John Huck died from lung problems and walked with a limp for the rest of his life from being shot in combat. Carlton's grandfather James Wallace Cross fought in WW2 as a Navy Seabee in the Pacific Theater. His grandfather was preparing to invade the mainland of Japan with the U.S. Marines when the atomic bombs were dropped ending. Carlton's father Lance Carlton Cross I is the most decorated in the family with the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart and deserving of the Distinguished Flying Cross. Lance Cross has 13 confirmed kills and numerous friends killed in action. He almost got shot in the face by the enemy as Lance Looked down the barrel of an AK-47 being pointed at him, Lance's door gunner got the man before he could touch the trigger to shoot Lance in the face. Lance said he could not stop shaking for about 2 hours that day. Hollywood made a movie about Lance's squadron called "Apocalypse Now." Carlton's father joined the Army because of his grandfather John Huck and Carlton joined the Navy after his grandfather. In boot camp in 1991 Carlton was given the leadership role of a section leader in charge of 12 men. Carlton helped lead his Company to the Commandering Officer's White Flag of Excellence for graduation from boot camp. Carlton served on board of the USS Wasp. In 1993 he was in Somalia and worked on the Flight Deck and Hanger deck moving aircraft as a Blue Shirt. He did 2 years active and 6 years of reserves with an Honorable Discharge on February 28, 1999, 8 years after his enlistment.
After serving in the Navy, Carlton began selling Cutco products on May 26, 1994. He did not start as the best but achieved great success in this field. He set the Cutco May Sales Record in 1997 with $15,905. He surpassed this record in 1999, resetting it to $18,791. Carlton then became the first representative in the Eastern US to sell $20,000 in just ten days during a contest with 3,000 reps. He won the Number 1 Championship Trophy, breaking the Cutco Sales Record for July and setting it at $24,703. In 2001, Carlton was promoted to Charleston District Manager and recruited 283 college students. Together, they achieved a staggering $240,000 in sales. Notably, two of Carlton's reps from that summer were Raymond Owens, now a News 2 Reporter, and Jenny Costa Honeycutt, now a Charleston County Councilwoman. Many of Carlton's reps have become successful individuals in the local community. In recognition of his influence on the Cutco Company and individuals over the years, Carlton was inducted into the Cutco "Hall of Fame" in 2007.
I met a shipmate who was on the USS WASP LHD 1 with me in Somalia 1993 when the stuff was hitting the fan. He works at Lowes on James Island. It really makes me mad that we did all this sacrifice for South Carolina and the United States, when we have a FAMILY COURT SYSTEM that is NOT FOLLOWING THE CONSTITUTION WE PUT OUR LIVES ON THE LINE FOR. When Carlton started working as a Rep with Cutco, on May 26, 1994, he was not the best. However, Cutco taught him an invaluable lesson that he has used throughout his life. Carlton learned that to be successful, you need to find someone who is already successful in the area you want to excel in, figure out what they did to achieve that success, and then emulate their actions and do it. Imagine sel
Carlton plans to apply this philosophy as your legislator and work towards making South Carolina and District 15 the best in education and other areas that need improvement. This is a Leadership Trophy Carlton was awarded in 1997.

Carlton left his job at Cutco for two years to start a mortgage company with his two friends. However, he soon realized that the mortgage business was not honest. It was not until the 2010 Dodd-Frank Bill was passed. Due to this, Carlton decided to leave the mortgage business and return to his previous job at Cutco. He even reset the Cutco Record for May by achieving a sales figure of 18,791. Cutc

This was America then and now. This picture is worth a thousand words how your skin color does not matter when you are fighting for each other to survive.
Here is Carlton's Father Lt. Cross' flight journal as a helicopter pilot. Read how skin color did not matter in saving these men's lives. We Must strive to be a more perfect union and just as these brave men did not care about their skin color and epitomize the word "Americans."
Read from the book how these men were all heroes for giving an Oath to Defend the U.S. Constitution with their lives. This is just one of many examples why we MUST enforce our Constitution on Our Courts with Jury Trials in Family Court in South Carolina.
Here is the Newspaper article that was in the Post and Courier back in 1970. As you can SEE the address is in District 15 at 8811 Deerwood Drive in North Charleston.
In 1999 Carlton was chosen because of his military experience and his looks to be in the movie "The Legend Of Bagger Vance" as Matt Damon's Private in WW1. This was an experience of reliving his graeat-grandfather's experience in WW1. Carlton's character was killed the moment Matt Damon and he along with 60 other men jumped out of the trench to attack a machine gun firing at them. Matt's character
As trained by Cutco, Carlton learned the way Matt Damon got his big break is was he wrote the screenplay Good Will Hunting with his friend Ben Affleck/ They took stories from growing up and wrote the movie. Ben's father was janitor at Harvard. So Carlton thought what could he write about? His father has already had a movie written about his helicopter squardron call "Apocalyse Now." Since 1999 Car
Carlton ran for President of the U.S. as Osama Bin Laden in 2004. Carlton won $5,000 from 96 Wave Radio Station for a Halloween Costume Contest as Osama Bin Laden riding a life-size camel. Carlton hand-built this for two of his friends to get in and carry him. The camel could spit, blew smoke out of two missiles struck in its rear end, and It could even use the bathroom when its tail would rise. I
Carlton is on stage as the WINNER! The top 5 reasons to Vote for Osama were:
1. I am tired of living in a tent.
2. I will stop terrorism; I know all the terrorists.
3. I promise I won't bomb New York again.
4. I will give you.....
5. I will lower gas prices because I know all the Oil Princes.
Let Carlton use his creativity to improve District 15!
After graduating from Camden Military Academy, Carlton attended Trident Technical College for one semester before joining the U.S. Navy in 1991. Upon completing his service, he returned to Trident Technical College before transferring to the College of Charleston. During his time at the College of Charleston, Carlton played an active role in forming the cycling team. He aimed to earn a degree in Theatre with a major in Screenwriting and Set Design. Carlton completed his junior year at the College of Charleston before accepting a job as the Office Manager for Cutco Cutlery in Charleston in 2001.
Carlton is currently studying Political Science at Liberty University, after transferring credits from both College of Charleston and Trident Technical College. He is on track to complete his BS in Political Science for District 15, and currently maintains a 4.0 GPA at Liberty University. Carlton's future educational plans include passing the SC Residential Builder's Exam by the end of 2023, to become a licensed Residential Builder in South Carolina. Carlton believes that education is a lifelong commitment, and at 53 years old, he knows that it's not how you start the race, but how you finish that counts.
Carlton finds inspiration in Colonel Sanders, who started KFC at the age of 62. His grandfather was also a lead-by-example kind of person who always encouraged Carlton to keep growing and never stop learning. In the 1980s and 1990s, there was a KarmelKorn Popcorn store in Northwoods Mall, across from Ruby Tuesdays, owned by Carlton's late grandfather, Mr. James "Wallace" Cross. He lived at 8811 Deerwood Drive and passed away in 2007.
According to Carlton, it is important for schools to teach children that college is not the only path to success and that there is value in working with one's hands. Carlton's grandfather grew up as the son of a sharecropper in Georgia during the Great Depression of the 1920s and 1930s. The small town where he was from was called Hopeful, GA. When Carlton was 13 years old in 1983, his grandfather had the opportunity to take him back to Hopeful. During their visit, his grandfather brought him to the Hopeful Baptist Church, which he had helped build as a teenager while working as a brick mason. Carlton's grandfather also showed him graves and shared stories about how his father had lost his entire family during the 1919 pandemic, leaving him as the only surviving family member.
Then, in 1932, when Wallace was 11 years old, his mother was killed by lightning in front of him and his little brother. Wallace told Carlton, " Son, the Cross family is from this small town in Georgia called Hopeful, we are always Hopeful for a Positive Future no matter what we go through in life, and we don't give up no matter what." Wallace showed Carlton the grave of his grandfather, James Welcome Cross, who died in 1919 from the Pandemic, along with his father, who died in 1966.
When Wallace Cross graduated from Hopeful High School in 1939, he hitchhiked to Charleston for a better life. He applied to Machanist School in Charleston and was accepted. He would hitchhike back and forth from Charleston to Hopeful. On his way hitchhiking back to Hopeful on December 7th, 1941, while riding in a car, he heard the news over the radio that Pearl Harbor was bombed. The man giving Wallace a ride said, "Sorry, son, I have to return to Charleston." The man was driving a government car and dropped Wallace off in the woods in the middle of Georgia. Wallace walked home to Hopeful. He told his father, Frank Richard Cross, that he would join the United States Navy to defend his country and that he loved his daddy. He prayed he would return after the war. Wallace hitchhiked back to Charleston and joined the United States Navy Seabees. He fought his way with the Navy and U.S. Marines across the Pacific as a Navy Seabee making any parts for aircraft or anything they needed out of metal as a machinist mate. He and the Marines were on the doorstep about to invade the mainland of Japan when the atomic bombs were dropped on Japan ending World War 2. He told Carlton, "You would not be here if we had not dropped those bombs, we were preparing to invade the mainland and I would have certainly died." His prayer was answered and Wallace returned to Charleston where he met his wife on Society Street in downtown Charleston. They were married for 62 years until he passed away in 2007. In 1946 he borrowed $600 and bought 20 acres in District 15. He got a civilian job as a machinist at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Without any outside funding, James Wallace Cross, a machinist, converted 12 acres of his land into a trailer park consisting of 65 lots. He accomplished this by gradually installing one septic tank, light pole, and water line at a time. By the time of his passing in 2007, the trailer park was generating a monthly income of $15,000, making James Wallace Cross a self-made millionaire. This is why Carlton feels a duty to his country and a calling to represent South Carolina's 15th district in the House of Representatives. Remember to vote for Carlton in the June 2024 Primary and November 2024 General Election.
When Carlton was just one year old, he began working on homes with his grandfather at 8810 Deerwood Drive in the Deer Park Trailer Park. We actually have a picture to prove this with Carlton on the roof of a Trailer with Wallace fixing a leak. By the age of seven, Carlton thought all kids knew how to change toilets, fix roofs, and change electrical fuses and outlets. In 2011, he obtained his specialty license in masonry, carpentry, and painting, following in his grandfather's footsteps. Carlton is now a Licensed Residential Builder in South Carolina. This means the state of South Carolina has given him a license to build someone's most valued asset of their life, their home. Trust Carlton with your valued vote, your vote will not be wasted.
Carlton has been involved in the rental side of Real Estate since he was born. In 2012, he received his Real Estate License and began working as an Agent under Rick Willis, who can be heard on 94.3 FM. In November of 2021, Carlton upgraded his license to become a Broker In Charge and established his own Real Estate Company. He has devised a way to assist homeowners who lack the finances to repair their homes before selling them. This enables them to afford the necessary repairs and sell their homes for top dollar instead of settling for "AS-IS" offers. Carlton's guiding principle is to love and support our neighbors, treating others as we would like to be treated.
In 1996-1997, Carlton and his friends Barry Evans and Michael Chase founded a Mortgage Company. However, he did not enjoy the work and left after two years. This was before the Dodd-Frank Act of 2010, and the Mortgage Business was often dishonest. Carlton then returned to selling Cutco in May 1997. Later, in 2002-2004, he started a mobile Car Wash with just one truck, but within two years, it grew to 8 trucks operating around Charleston. After closing the Car Wash in 2004, Carlton moved to L.A., California, to study Screenwriting until 2006. He returned to care for his grandfather and grandmother at 8811 Deerwood Drive. Since 2006, Carlton has been back in District 15.
Carlton is a South Carolina Law Enforcement Division Certified Instructor. This means Carlton can train people in Firearms training to get their Concealable Weapons Permit in South Carolina. This means taking them to the firing range and making sure they understand firearm safety and qualify to use their firearm to shoot the target. Carlton also spends classroom time with them training them on the importance of defending theirselves and their loved ones. Having a CWP does not mean you put yourself in situations like law enforcement. It is strictly a huge responsibility.
This is one reason why Carlton believes these individuals who went through an FBI background check, a SLED background check, SLED Certified Training, qualifying on hitting the target, and were given an ID Card by SLED, the public should be educated on why you should not put up a NO CONCEALABLE WEAPONS SIGN to keep these individuals out. When you do that, you are saying to the CWP Holders not to come into my business, and you are making your business a soft weak target for criminals. You are advertising, "HEY EVERYONE! NO ONE HAS A GUN TO PROTECT THEMSELVES HERE, COME ON IN AND DO AS YOU LIKE!' Only a law-abiding citizen with all these background checks and training are going to abide by the sign NO CONCEALABLE WEAPONS ALLOWED. This is why Carlton has written a bill that is on this site to Exempt these trained individuals from the "NO" signs. Carlton also wants to see the option for lawmakers who are trained like this to be able to carry their firearms just as Law Enforcement is allowed to carry. Carlton is also for more advanced CWP training to allow teachers who want to carry, be allowed to carry on school grounds to protect our children from mass shootings. The reason is that mass shootings continue to happen because the sick criminals know they can kill our children because no one will shoot back, and the school is a soft weak target of the law not allowing CWPs to carry on school grounds. Just as the sick individual Dylann Roof knew that NO ONE would have a weapon to shoot back at his lame behind at the AME Church. Our Current Laws Forbid our CWP Holders from carrying on Church Grounds without permission. The Law should allow CWP Holders to Carry without permission on Church grounds and school grounds. Most criminals pick weak targets because they are weak individuals. We train CWP holders to defend and shoot back. Let's Lead the Nation in being the first to allow CWP Holders to carry on School and Church grounds. My opponent says he wants more No Concealable Weapons Signs up and then will say he wants more background checks and training. This means that if you went through what he wants which is by definition a CWP Holder then stay out. This does not make any logical sense.
Did you know the Virginia Tech shooting in 2007 with 32 dead and multiple others wounded, one of the victims had his CWP but left it in the car, because of the law that you cannot carry on school grounds. Instead of that student defending himself and his classmates he became a DEAD VICTIM. Carlton is for a law that will hold a business that has a NO CONCEALABLE WEAPONS ALLOWED sign up, responsible for everyone's safety. This means if you have a business such as a mall or any business and something happens with an act of violence, and individuals get hurt and they are not allowed to their Constitutional Right to Bear Arms then your business can be sued for damages. It is time we stop the madness and allow people to have their Constitutional Rights to Freedom, Liberty, Prosute of Happiness, the Right to Jury Trails in All Forms of Courts, Equal Protections Under the LAW, and a GREAT EDUCATION!
There is no other place in the World we can go if we fail with our constitution being ignored and let this Great Country DIE. We MUST KEEP what our founding fathers started with a DREAM = TO MAKE THE UNITED STATES A MORE PERFECT UNION!
